When she is telling Asian girls to respect themselves, she is saying that from herself, not her character. Not that many people are that stupid to think that she encourages premarital sex, gun violence, & parental disrespect just because of the CSI role that she played. In fact, the TV show itself actually discourages these things because of the police getting involved to fight against these topics. She just played someone that was part of the equation to get the message across that these things are bad for our society. If you think Arden puts Asians a couple steps back from what Jeremy Lin achieved, then think again. The CSI role is NOTHING compared to if she played the role of a prostitute or someone doing drugs.
